How should my equipment be operated?
Because of the variations of equipment and applications please consult your local Parkson representative or call Parkson directly if you think your equipment is not working as efficiently as when it was new.

How do I indentify the parts that my equipment needs?

What services does Parkson offer to rebuild my unit?
Parkson offers a variety of services to better serve the needs of our customers 1. Certified Rebuild On-Site with Parkson Certified Installers 2. Certified Rebuild On-site by Owner with OEM Parts and Parkson Supervision 3. Certified Rebuild at Factory Contact your local Outside Sales Leader in your area.

When should I schedule start-up and training?
The product(s) you have determine the startup requirements. Some equipment requires Parkson inspection services prior to finalizing the installation and knowing these requirements will help prevent potential installation variances. As you anticipate the completion of the equipment installation, you should begin the start-up scheduling process. Receipt of advanced notification helps us provide scheduling flexibility as we normally request three to four weeks advance notice for scheduling.

When should I schedule the service inspection?
As you know, equipment failures can lead to costly repairs and some of these failures may be prevented. Service Inspections can help you prevent equipment breakdowns and or minimize repair costs. Depending on your requirements, we can provide annual or semi-annual inspection visits. If you have recently purchased a service contract, we will schedule your visit with just two to four weeks notice. If you have observed any unusual equipment noises or operation may determine your need for a Parkson trained service representative to visit your site.

When should I rebuild my equipment?
Parkson equipment is the leader in the industry. We utilize 304, 316 stainless steels and coated carbon steels to fit the application. Our equipment can last decades if properly maintained and operated. So if you think your equipment needs to be rebuilt please contact Parkson and we will arrange an inspection visit. Rebuilding the equipment is the most economical and timely approach to adding more value to your process and many more years of useful life to the equipment.

What type of sand is in my filter?
Technically it is not sand, it is referred to as filter media that meets Parkson's stringent filter media specification. The Parkson filter media is exceptionally hard, inert, predominately silica containing material with a specific grain shape requirement. In addition, there is a required range of effective size, uniformity coefficient and grain size for each specific application. Only a selected number of suppliers are capable of producing media that can achieve Parkson stringent specification.

How is the sand shipped and loaded?
The media can be shipped in bags (50, 100 lbs), SuperSacks (2000 or 3000 lbs), or via pneumatic trucks.

I have had a staff turnover. Can Parkson repeat the training we had when we first bought our unit?
Absolutely! Customers hire us to do this all the time!

We want to replace common wear parts, but not do a complete rebuild. Can Parkson advise me on which parts to replace?
Yes! Contact us and an experienced Inside Sales Representative will work with you to determine the parts needed.

Can I hire a Parkson Field Service Rep for even a small job?
Absolutely! When you factor in our experience, this is money well spent as you know the job is done correctly and your parts warranty is extended to one year.

We cannot find our original Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manual. Would Parkson have a copy?
Absolutely! Please contact Parkson to obtain electronic or printed copies of your unit's manual. Providing the serial number will allow us to serve you more quickly.

Can the screen size be changed for finer or coarser screening?
This must be analyzed on a case by case basis. Typically if the element size exists it can be replaced, but due to channel characteristics, the flow has to be analyzed. Please consult Parkson to have one of our engineers help you.
