Parkson Corporation Announces Turn-Key Aftermarket Customer Solutions
May 30, 2008 - Aftermarket service and equipment maintenance are hard to come by and, with the right package, can save costly early capital equipment replacement and upgrades. Responding to market demand from coast to coast, Parkson is meeting this demand by launching a customer focused offer through its Outside Sales force in combination with newly created Certified Installer Providers.
Parkson has traditionally focused only on selling OEM parts and will now offer the right combination of OEM parts, service, maintenance and if appropriate, a retrofit or rebuild unit. "Today, Parkson is transforming its Field Service personnel into Outside Sales Leaders" said Parkson's newly appointed VP-GM, Michael Benedict, "Parkson is developing a business model based upon marketing and selling not only OEM replacement parts for equipment, but also rebuilds, retrofits and field services like IO&M training, service contracts, equipment inspections, equipment replacements and predictive maintenance programs".
Parkson's installed base is among the largest in the industry, and the opportunities presented by this installed base are not limited to spare parts. Plants with aging Parkson equipment are candidates for rebuilds and retrofits. Parkson's team will analyze all options to see whether components can be rebuilt, restored or reused.
Parkson's aftermarket solutions include full equipment analysis of customer service requirements, maintenance needs, OEM parts and equipment. Parkson's knowledgeable personnel have serviced more than 25,000 installations.
