Sludge Handling
Pretreatment is important for dairy wastewaters containing particles or debris that could damage downstream pumps or other equipment. Pretreatment also reduces COD and BOD concentrations as a result of solids solubilization. Parkson's rotary drum screens are ideal for a wide range of flows and solids loading, and easily handle troublesome sticky, greasy or granular material without blinding. Solids can be further washed or dewatered and sold as a by-product or to simplify disposal.
