Parkson Names Exclusive Distributor for HiOx® UltraFlex Aeration Panels in the United Kingdom and Ireland
October 21, 2009 - Parkson Corporation has granted Hydro International an exclusive license to market its high-efficiency HiOx® UltraFlex Aeration Panels in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
"This is an important technology that saves energy and delivers increased treatment capabilities, which is why we are expanding the HiOx technology to the United Kingdom and Ireland, where we believe the product’s capabilities will be very well received given those regions’ relatively high cost of electricity” commented Zain Mahmood, President and CEO of Parkson Corporation.
HiOx Aeration Panel technology has been engineered to achieve much smaller bubble size and high-floor-area coverage, thereby increasing oxygen transfer efficiencies by at least 20 percent and maintaining low aeration flux rate. The HiOx Aeration System reduces power requirements and improves overall plant efficiency. This technology is suitable for both retrofit and new applications.
"The most energy intensive operation in any sludge plant is associated with the requirements for mixing and aeration,” says Chris Day, General Manager of Hydro International’s Wastewater Division. “HiOx cuts plant energy requirements dramatically and at the same time offers significantly increased capacity at a low installation cost.”
Lower installation costs are achieved because each HiOx Aeration Panel covers a large area, the equivalent of 100 conventional 9” (22cm) disk-type diffusers.
