The WRF laboratory analyzes raw water and wastewater samples in order to characterize constituents which dictate treatment needs. The lab follows testing procedures as detailed in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater. The WRF laboratory is capable of running the following analytical tests:
- Chemical oxygen demand
- Total suspended solids
- Total dissolved solids
- Conductivity
- Turbidity
- pH
- Alkalinity
- Total phosphorus
- Ortho-phosphate
- Iron
- Volatile suspended solids
- Fixed suspended solids
- Specific gravity
- Filter sand sieve analysis
The laboratory also conducts bench scale tests to confirm preliminary sizing of a wide variety of Parkson products and processes including:
- Rotary Drum Thickeners or ThickTech® units
- Dynasand® Filters
- Lamella® Gravity Settlers
- Filter Presses
- Rotomesh® & Rotoshear® units
- MaximOS™ disinfection equipment
