OHxyPhogg®
OHxyPhogg® is a hydroxyl radical odor control system with a patented air atomizing 3-fluid nozzle developed by Vapex Environmental Technologies. The OHxyPhogg® uses potable water, ozone and electricity to create a hydroxyl radical fog which is dispersed throughout the entire odorous space. Applications include reducing or eliminating odors caused by, but not limited to, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide, and amines.
OHxyPhogg® also remediates Fats, Oils, and Greases (FOGs) by breaking the carbon double-bonds that form the fatty acid chain. Continuous treatment prevents FOGs from collecting on the surfaces of the process water and walls. By constantly washing surfaces, the OHxyPhogg® also combats corrosion by killing the Thiobacillus bacteria which are responsible for converting H2S into sulfuric acid.
Hydroxyl radical fog is created at the patented 3-fluid nozzle which combines micron-size water particles with ozone (oxidant) and air. Through a radical chain reaction, a small quantity of ozone is able to produce a large quantity of hydroxyl radicals which is disseminated throughout the space being treated.
The unit produces ozone by processing the air to remove nitrogen and concentrate oxygen to about 75% to 98%. Fresh air from the surrounding space enters the unit through the air intake and enters the oxygen compressors.
The water which enters the unit from a potable water source is regulated through five separate water flow meters and switches. The air which facilitates the production of the fog at the nozzle is produced by the nozzle blower.
